How common is urinary retention from chronic use of zyrtec (cetirizine)? any other side effects? i was prescribed to take it everyday but doc never mentioned this

Not common: Any antihistaminic can cause urine retention, but it's a rare side effect, other side effects such as dry mouth, somnolence r more common, usually common side effects r written on the patient info leaflet dispensed with drugs, or on boxes for over-the-counter meds.
