Definitely so in order to understand possible cause and ways to treat. Based on limited data splenomegaly may be related to liver disease, but other causes cannot be ruled out. Start with your primary care doc that will be able to coordinate locally.

Agree with Dr. P. While you are looking into the issue, it is imperative that you start losing weight to prevent scarring of your liver.

Get evaluated, treated & followed by a hepatologist or gastroenterologist. If he/ she agrees that the splenomegaly is associated with the fatty liver, the sooner you're treated, the better chance of preventing further enlargement of the spleen. If it is felt that further investigation of the splenomegaly is warranted, I think a hematologist is best to consult.
