History: Your history of kidney stones and the fact that this is a large stone both suggest that this stone has been growing for some time. A urologist can help you to figure out what is causing the stone and how to prevent them in the future. Agreed, the best way to tell is urologic testing.

Not Likely : It is not likely that the vitamin d caused the kidney stone. It is most likely that you are a stone former and that you should be checked frequently and should be under treatment to prevent stones. Drink two qts of water per day. Take magnesium eg. Magnesium malate or magnesium citrate daily. Get frequent check ups.
