Although high MCH can be associated with B-12 deficiency, an isolated value must be clinically correlated for significance. Your symptoms could be correlated with a number of conditions, and you and your physician should be able to uncover the cause of your problems.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, B12 deficiency is one cause your results. You could take sub-lingual B12 to see if that helps. Wish you good health!

Sometimes it may reflect vit B12 deficiency, an isolated high MCH otherwise is non diagnostic by itself as for example liver diseases or drugs are commonly causing the same. Your doc should be best to place it in clinical context.
