Seizures: I suggest that you discuss with your physician the long term plan and talk to him about what makes you afraid. There is a school of thought regarding the use of anti epileptic medications after head trauma to prevent seizures. There are some who advocate no medication if no seizures have ever occurred. This is a subject of controversy in medicine. Discuss this with your physician for best plan.

Anticonvulsants: Your physician is being appropriately cautious. Unless you by chance develop seizures it is unlikely that you will need these medications long term, .
