My 8 week old son dropped from 95th percentile in height at birth to 89th percentile at his 8 week visit. his head size stayed about the same. is this cause for concern or is this normal?

If the percentiles are followed and BMI is normal, his growth is acceptable. Watch for a pattern of poor weight gain, decreases in BMI and two or more percentile growth lines on his growth curve. Discuss any feeding issues with your physician and a virtual consultation with HT is available to review as well.
