A member asked:

Do cancer and adenomyosis look the same on imaging? or do they have a lot of different features?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Imaging is not usually used to differentiate between cancer and adenomyosis. There are features that may be more consistent with each one of them on imaging however most people would not base diagnosis only on imaging when biopsy could be done. Adenomyosis is more common than cancer and more likely at a younger age than cancer is.
