Home with sinus infection and covid. feeling pretty bad today. spoke to doctor earlier and got new meds. i hadnt checked my blood pressure. i checked it now and its 137/83. should i be concerned? normally my blood pressure is around 100/70?

Blood pressure is usually higher when you an acute sickness. Medication used for nasal and sinus congestion can raise BP. High temp and high heart rate also cause higher blood pressure. Besides, stress with Covid infection is definitely contributing. Your blood pressure is borderline high (borderline hypertension, below 140/90). IN general, high BP is better than low BP when fighting the infection

The transient BP elevation to that level is not worrisome by itself. If it settles down after you heal you will be fine. If it persists after you are better see your doc.
