A number of auto-immune encephalitides have been described and many are triggered by viral issues. Limbic encephalitis describes a specific focal location. This is a complex area, best reserved for specialized neurologists, or infectious disease specialists, and hospitalists most commonly see these cases. This is NOT a "direct-to-consumer" area.

You may contact Quest Diagnostics or LabCorp. However, you need to ask yourself, "What will I do with the results if one of these companies does the test for you without going through a doctor"
