Pleaseexplaintest result:sjogren's sa value is 3 . lab ref. range anything below20is negative, but why when those antibodies shouldn't be in blood?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Antibody test: Testing for antibodies isn't like counting sheep. We test for biological activities -- molecules attaching to a substrate. There's usually some measurable activity -- whether it's even one of the true ssa antibodies is moot. Everybody has bazillions of different antibodies in the blood at low levels for no obvious reason. Be glad of a negative anti-ssa and continue your workup.
