With a baseline blood pressure of 160/65, there is a good chance that you have high blood pressure and need medication to control it. (normal BP is less than 130/80). Talk to your regular Dr for a thorough evaluation and treatment plan. Once you have achieved good control, there is more of a chance that your surgeon will feel comfortable operating, and spikes will not occur.
