When. i lay on my left side i can feel my actual heart beating not the pulse and when im moving around it beats heavy im healthy im also skinny 170 pounds and 20 years old i had a ekg which the doctor said was normal what could it be ?

When lying on your left side it's not at all unusual to feel your heart beating as it lies near the left rib cage. When up & around it's unusual to feel it beating. Do you have a rapid pulse? High blood pressure? Heart murmur? Overactive thyroid? Anxiety? Take drugs? Ask your MD to do more testing for peace of mind.

Cardiac anxiety is my first guess. Need to know what u mean by skinny and weighing 170 lbs. If you are 6 feet or more tall then you are likely just noting your own heart which is often the case in think folks.
