3-4 cups of milk per day is a good way of getting most of the calcium and all the vitamin D needed (if Vit D fortified). These benefits occur for regular milk (150 cal/cup) 2% fat or low fat milk (100 cal/cup) or skim milk (80 cal/cup). If you are taking in too many calories from your diet, skim milk is a good choice.
