Coffee/caffeine: 2 to 3 cups of coffee is a bit much for anyone. Caffeinated soda, tea or coffee all cause short term increase in alertness and attention, but all also cause side effects, like increased heart rate and insomnia. Caffeine is addictive, and once addicted, it can feel pretty bad for several days--fatigue, headaches, etc. Be careful and don't overdo on any caffeinated beverage.
