Ultrasounds can suggest but do not define cancer. That is where the biopsy gets involved. A suggestive or equivocal ultrasound would lead to a biopsy. The biopsy is the final determinant. Could a biopsy miss something ? Possibly. That is where the combined skill of your treatment team decides what to biopsy.
