Had trapeziectomy 8 weeks ago. still have pain,swelling in hand. have to use hydro to sleep because of the pain at night. surgeon doesnt offer much guidance - take advil if hurts and go to pt. pt says heat and exercise. any help is appreciated?

I would ask the Drs who sent you to the surgeon as they know you the best and what experiences their patients have had who they sent to that surgeon. Or ask the surgeon's nurse.
