I went to er abdominal pain continuous vomiting and diarrhea. stools are abnormal in color i.e almost black. ct scan of stomach.possibly colitis. have pain and antibiotic med. how long does this last? can't see gi dr for 2 months?

You have a severe gastroenteritis and the black tarry diarrheal stool is likely due to bleeding from gastritis (stomach inflammation). The CT usually shows thickening of the bowel wall, a sign of enterocolitis. You did not state if you have any underlying disease(s). If viral or bacterial infection is the cause, you should be fine with meds, it takes 3-5 days, no need to see GI doc right away.
