Pitting edema in legs, shortness of breath, extreme fatigue getting worse by day. echo, ekgs all normal. all blood tests normal including bnp test. cant find the cause of my symptoms. hr 136 climbing stairs. spit up tons of phlegm. no meds. ideas?

These symptoms are characteristic of a cardiomyopathy, but both the EKG & echocardiogram wouldn't be normal. Pulmonary disease has to be considered in view of associated copious sputum. Advanced chronic pulmonary disease can eventually lead to right ventricular heart failure and edema in the legs,feet & ankles.
