Was cooking in the oven and food burnt - it filled the house with a burning/smokey smell - 5 week infant is also in the house upstairs. i opened all the windows and put on fans but the smoke/burn smell has persisted for a few hours. should i worry?

If there is no difficulty breathing just make sure the baby is comfortable and do not leave the windows open too long in view of the cold weather because the temperature to keep the baby warm is very important.

If you still smell the smoke, consider an air purifier unit. Keep the baby away from less ventilated areas. Watch for signs of difficulty breathing or feeding. Please follow up with your pediatrician.
