In the long run, yes: you should be fine. In the short run, you may experience some discomfort. Your post does not say if the tooth has been worked on, who placed the temp, and why it is taking two weeks to see you. Without this information, hard to say what will transpire until you get into the office.

You will be OK: Root canal treatment may be done in 1, 2 or more appointments. In cases where the entire root canal system harbors bacteria, multiple visits is an appropriate choice.
