Hello. i have this lingering cough after a cold i that recovered 3 /4 weeks ago. is this a cause of concern, and do i need to see a doctor?

The cough may improve with a little bit more time If there are other symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath and mucus production, please follow up soon. If you have asthma, follow your asthma plan, avoid smoke and allergic triggers.

Relatively common, the cough should slowly fade away. Seeing your doc is never a bad idea, specifically if symptoms persist.

Any cough lasting longer than 2 weeks should be evaluated by a doctor. Unless it is getting better on a daily basis, it would be prudent to consult a doctor, preferably a lung doctor.
