A member asked:

Ive had a low grade fever for a week now, which started as a cold, but the only lasting symptom from the cold besides my fever is a cough at night. is the persistent fever something i should be concerned about or see a doctor for?

Persistent fever: Persistent fever should be evaluated. You may have a complication of your cold. Examples include an ear infection, bronchitis or pneumonia. Continue to drink fluids, monitor for fever and use over the counter cold preparations as needed, if helpful.
