A member asked:

Would a benign wart show koilocytes on pathology? mine didn't but pathology came back as saying it was a verrucae on my forehead based on pathology?

a bit confused. I think that koilocytes are found in cervical tissue on pap smears, NOT on the forehead. If this was a wart on your forehead, I would make certain the slide was read by a dermatopathologist

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it does not matter if the report did not use the term koilocyte. There is no cancer. Wish you good health!
