What are some reasons for distended abdomen doc don't know what's wrong nov 19 it was extended to 43 in now dec 29th its 50 inch no weight gain has been swollen hard at the top its stilling getting bigger 7 inches in 39 days how many inches is normal?

Ascites (fluid in the abdominal cavity) is strongly suspected if the abdominal girth has increased at that pace. Abdominal ultrasound will confirm the diagnosis.
