I answered your previous question, I think. You are somewhat protective after 2 shots in theory and in reality. In theory, after vaccinated your body have memory B and T cells which are quickly mobilized to produced the antibody if you are infected. However, how long these cells last we do not have a definite answer. In reality, after 2 shots you can still be infected but the disease is mild.
