Trigeminal neuralgia is sudden, brief, and intermittent; but constant facial pain would not be due to this cause. Do wonder about TMJ or dental causes, if persistent. Back of neck pain would not be in distribution of occipital neuralgia. Suggest you visit physiatrist and dentist and seek focused answers.
