False positive IgM: The IgM HSV blood test is notoriously unreliable. True experts in herpes, STDs, and infectious diseases never order that test and always ignore the results. It commonly gives false positive results, and that's the problem here. If the HSV2 IgG value is negative (under 1.1), then for sure you don't have it and can ignore the IgM result.
