What is the first line treatment for someone 27 yrs old who has dvt with ivc thrombus ,which has partially occluded the vein?can we depend only on drugs?and is it safe for that patient to do exercise ?or it increases the risk of developing pe?

IN cases where a DVT is documented, and an IVC thrombus is present, consult a cardiovascular surgeon, who may elect to place an IVC filter to prevent movement of the IVC thrombus into a location where all or part can travel to the lungs, causing a PE.

I am 21 wks preg & think I have a superficial blood clot behind my knee. I think it was caused by too-tight compression socks during prev preg (sig edema & socks top band was too tight). Can this turn into DVT? Treatment?
