A member asked:

My blood test result shows that my hemoglobin level is 130 g/l and hematocrit level is .382 l/l. these both are outside lower range value. what does this indicate? what kind of further investigation is needed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If this is decrease from your baseline values, you need to be investigated to rule out bleeding in the stomach and intestine. Anemia in an adult male warrants tests to rule out colon cancer and other causes of bleeding in the intestine. Wish you good health!
