Where? When you post on this site the more detail you provide the more likely we are to provide an answer. There are hundreds of joints linking the 206 bones in the body. Your post does not say where. Even without the benefit of a medical history and other factors the basic response would need a location. You are welcome to start over. Posts are not linked so each must have all data.

The way it works is that if surgery is offered it should be at least seriously considered as the surgeon assumes responsibility for the outcome. During the same conversation alternatives (injections, physical therapy, etc) should be touched on with the surgeon with an estimated time to functionally disability for that joint.
