The foramen ovale, was suspected on an echo a year ago, then echo showed it 6 months ago. today's echo with bubble didn't show it, what happened to it, how it disappeared? weird?

The oval hole in the base of the skull through which the trigeminal nerve passes has not disappeared it may not be discernable on the view which has been taken, but it is not going away, so nothing has happened to it. Rest assured.

The bubble study is not always positive even you truly have patent foramen ovale. Transesophageal echo (TEE) with bubble study is more definite if patent foramen ovale needs to be ruled out. By UPTODATE "in a TEE study that included 148 patients with a PFO, right-to-left shunting was noted in 57 percent at rest compared with 92 percent with straining or coughing".
