Hip bursitis is: Is probably the problem. Wild work on icing the hip it band stretching and running on flat surfaces. I f you are running on a curved or crowned side of the road you can flare up your it band.

Sacroiliac joint: Your si joint may also be strained. I recommend seeing a pm&r doc for eval. A heel lift may be helpful.
