Everyone talks about hyperventilation and anxiety, but i believe i hypoventilate. my respiratory rate is always really low and i feel like i 'hold my breath' subconsciously a lot. is this common / possible. thank you?

The breathing center in the medulla is very sensitive with CO2 retention so hypoventilation won't happen unless you are doing it voluntarily or you are under the effect of some medications which can compromise the breathing center.
