I've a hard lump between my armpit/breast with a size between a pea and a marble for a year. it is now bigger and painful. does this sound serious?

It is concerning...: This could be a lymph node or fluid collection in that area, but the fact that it's been there for that long and has now changed, it should be investigated right away. Doesn't mean there's something dire going on, but we really need to know with certainty at this point.
