Can general anesthesia cause regression in autism?

One of the possible serendipity without scientific bases to it. I mean it is unlikely to therapeutically administer general anesthesia deliberately for autism; however if it happens be thankful and continue living.

There is not a shred of reliable evidence that general anesthesia can result in either exacerbation or remission permanently in autistic individuals. Nor is there any evidence, it can cause a child to become autistic.
