For all my life im treating with steroid creams. last time, derm prescribed elocom once in a day for 5 days, then once in 2 days for month and once in 3 days again for long duration. is it safe? if i dont use it, i get flare ups?

You can be reassured in that studies have shown that continual use of potent corticosteroid creams & ointments are quite safe, but the skin disorder should be serious enough to warrant that treatment and that follow-up by the dermatologist reveals that the condition warrants such continued treatment and sees no harmful effects.
