Topical steroid withdrawal is certainly life-changing and terribly debilitating, though uncommon. It is unclear as to who is likely to develop it and to exactly why it occurs. There are other classes of medications for psoriasis which I would encourage you to discuss with your healthcare provider, including non-steroidal meds. Best to you.
