A member asked:

As i treat psoriasis with prescribed steroidal creams, wont my body get use to them and then flare ups will no more react to steroids? doc offered me to use donovex. will psoriasis react to it after being treated with steroids several years?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily. Creams/lotions/gels applied to the skin surface are not absorbed deep enough to enter the blood and produce a systemic reduction in effectiveness. There is a natural variation in intensity of the skin disturbance caused by the disease making variation in the treatment required for control a necessary factor on a regular basis.
