This certainly sounds like quite a tragedy, in fact, a trauma. You need to seek treatment for trauma. Such would involve medication, and, quite possibly psychotherapy.

Oh how sad. You are hurting and you need support. There are a variety of options available to you. Please seek evaluation and appropriate treatment by a mental health professional. I think you can also find support groups on line. Know that you are not alone, nor are you at fault.

You have undergone a horrible experience and we at HT have intense compassion for your experience. Do suspect that you have some post-traumatic stress that might respond to cognitive-behavioral therapy, but would also work closely with a psychiatrist. You can get your life back on track.
