A member asked:

Last night i had nightmares and was yelling in my sleep. i only know this because i shared a room while traveling. what does it mean? how do i stop?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

REM sleep: Is when we dream. It is in this stage of sleep that the autonomic (automatic) nervous system becomes active (we don't know why) and yours is overactive. Commonest cause (if it applies) is sugar in diet.
