That is different: . Prolonged numbness should be evaluated. If you had interscalene block for shoulder surgery there could be very rare complications because of the procedure. Persistent numbness or even paralysis could happen and careful evaluation and an MRI of the cervical spine can rule it out. Dislocated shoulder can do it also. Surgical manipulation also. See below: A mammogram does not cause numbness in the arm and hand. The position you had your arm in during the procedure could have put some strain on your neck so i would go to an urgent care center or your local doctor if the symptoms persist.
