It is not easy to diagnose chronic epididymitis especially the noninfectious cases. Weakened epididymitis is not a correct term but you probably meant a chronic inflammed epididymitis and the tenderness or swelling only presents during exacerbation. You should see a urologist so chronic infection needs to be ruled out first because the treatment is different.
