As a kidney specialist, I am against using naprosyn for chronic pain in patients with chronic kidney disease. You can ask your doctor for an alternative to duloxetine such as gabapentin or pregabalin although these meds can increase fluid retention in some susceptible people. Besides a direct nephrotoxic effect, daily use of naprosyn can exacerbate hypertension or cause stomach disease.
