A member asked:

I am taking duloxetine 30mg and my doctor added buspar 10mg. i'm 76 and i'm sensitive to medication. are these medications dangerous to take together? is duloxetine bad for the liver? i am taking lipitor, will taking both damage my liver even more?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Buspar and Duloxetine are okay together. Duloxetine is not bad for the liver but is metabolized through the liver, as are most medications, including the three you are on. Generally, only if you have very poor liver function would the addition of Duloxetine be a problem with your liver. As your doctor knows your medical history, I would talk with him about your concerns. Best of luck!
