Relative amount vs fraction. If an absolute total of only 6 lymphocytes were seen per count, but it was 60% 0f the 10 white cells seen it can represent a "normal" fraction. When the absolute total is supposed to be 6,000, that makes the relative number of little importance. The fact that there are not enough present to do their job would make it a worrisome problem.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it would have helped had you provided the total WBC count and the percentage of lymphocytes. Wish you good health!
