How long after being diagnosed with eoe (inflammation of the esophagus) should it be checked to see if it's better?

Esophageal inflammation is to be taken seriously, most often related to gastric reflux and a predisposing factor in developing Barrett's Syndrome, a pre-cancerous change with critical implications. Whoever diagnosed you with inflammation should be able to guide you on what the next stage you should follow to protect yourself should be. Best wishes.

If the diagnosis is just reflux esophagitis without evidence of Barrett esophagus, you do not need to have EGD repeated if problem resolves completely with treatment.
