Good question. At your age it is more likely you are taking an ACE inhibitor or an ARB for BP or heart problems as one of these is a common cause for drug induced cough. Statins may also do the same. Discuss with your Dr. I cannot think of how COKE could be responsible but it none of the above suggestion help I would stop and see if it helps. Can't hurt I would think.

Coke has caffeine and it is carbonated, both risks factors to lower the esophageal lower sphincter tone, thus leading to reflux. Reflux is a well known cause of cough due to stimulation of vagal reflexes and direct irritation. If you stop it for a week and your cough goes away.. a correlation is likely.
