A member asked:

My wife is 36 weeks pregnant - her blood pressure has been fine at visits, but we noticed her resting heart rate was between 100 and 120 or so this morning. her normal resting heart rate is in the 80s when not pregnant. should we be concerned?

Is the fast heart rate accompanied by fever or chills? If so, then it may indicate an infection. But there are large number of other possibilities including anemia and thyroid disease. Your wife needs to talk/ see an OB GYN to get this sorted out.
