Many possibilities..: Need additional info: are paliptations there all the time, or only with exertion? Do modest activities (like climbing 1 flight of stairs) bring on palpitations? Shortness of breath? And (this will seem odd) are you affiliated with the medical profession? If you answered "yes" to all/most of these questions, it is possible you have the "syndrome of inappropriate sinus tachycardia", not dangerous...

See your doctor: Have you been evaluated by a doctor? That is relatively fast for your age. With palpitations, and fast heart rate, you could have an arrhythmia that requires treatment.
