All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, ANA is a screening test. If the titer is less than 1:80, it may not be clinically meaningful. Depending on your symptoms your doctor may order antigen specific test Wish you good health!

The patterns that are seen on indirect immunofluorescence are very subjective and depend on the skills of the individual preparing the slide and the individual interpreting the slide. I put more importance in the titer or value, but even very high/strong titer ANAs may still be irrelevant to the evaluation.
